High Level Architecture

The High Level Architecture (HLA) is a general purpose architecture for simulation reuse and interoperability, approved as an open standard through the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE Standard1516). The VR Team Trainer platform fully supports the HLA standard in order to enable the integration of diverse simulation modules into one networked Virtual Reality simulation system. This constitutes a crucial factor among other things for cost-effectiveness, since existing simulation modules may be used in entirely new contexts this way.
